Foreclosure's Silent Victims
The far-reaching mortgage crisis, estimated to cost 1.2 million families their homes when it's all through, is also taking a toll on the pet population. In Dayton, Ohio, real estate agent Kathy Bayer found so many cats and dogs abandoned by homeowners that she went on a mission to help them, taking them to local animal shelters. But with families unable to afford their homes, let alone pets, the shelters are overflowing.

Housing rescue bill passed
WASHINGTON (AP) - Congress has passed a housing rescue bill aimed at sparing 400,000 struggling homeowners from foreclosure. President George W. Bush is expected to sign the measure quickly.

I heard that Pres. Bush has said he will sign the Act into law when it reaches his desk. I just hope this will help turn things around instead of just acting as a band-aid. I do not think things will really turn around until the economy starts to improve.

This is who our next president should be, in my opinion, though the mainstream media virtually ignored his campaign in favor of Rerun Hillary, Obamapalooza, and McCain's "new boss same as the old boss" activities.
