Difference The What Tantrum Meltdown

The tantrum is the typical behaviour of a child who just wants his/her way. Basically, the kid has some sort of control over the behaviour he/she is displaying. A meltdown is when a special needs child's level of stress, anxiety or fear built up to the point that the brain overwhelms itself and loses the ability to cope. The child has no control over the behaviour and you are unable to talk or negotiate.
