Did you know in high profile tournaments they test for steroids in chess? This was highlighted when a famous Russian chess player did not want to take the test and faced a two year ban.

Chess Drugs Testing

Yes this is something that I knew. I do not know why a chess player would take performance enhancing drugs. I guess they just want to be able to lift those real heavy chess pieces easier. biggrin.gif
