If they force him into bankruptcy are they in sense looking to see some of his assets being safe from people taking them from him? What is that going to do for the creditors who would love to see some of this investment money given back to consumers.

They can force him into bankruptcy cases, but since the assets are frozen it is just going to create more of a mess when it is time to redistribute the remaining cash for investors and creditors. I think the way this is going, that the people that did get paid off (large unrealized profits paid out) are probably in some serious trouble through no fault of their own and this is going to get really sticky.

Madoff's former personal assistant (below) is now telling all with regards to the personal life of Madoff including his love for looking through escort ads, massages at noon time, lying down on the floor of his office, sexual remarks he would make to his workers, etc.

Just fodder that distracts us from the real crime. Notice that she didnt mention anything about making trades. That and the habit of fantisful writing of hedge fund reports are the real crime. Tell me how he made those and you peak my interest. Although, a $200 massage 5 times per week explains were a bit of that money went. I still want to know where he stashed a bit of it. You just know he did...he knew he was going to get busted at some point and he would still want to provide for his family. He even wanted to give out company bonuses before he turned himself in and basically said it was all a scam.

Vincenzo you sound jealous you did not get in on those massages wink.gif. What I want to know is what is her motive? Why talk about this now? I guess you saw her interview on NFC? I think she just gave some statements as to what she knew (which wasn't much) and the media is just trying to make a fire with it. For instance she said he went for just a regular massage and the media put it as a sexual massage. Who knows, she was his personal assistant, but I guess she did not know the full details of what a 'massage' entails. What I also gather from this is Madoff was very picky and intrusive. He really played the stereotypical meticulous rich man well.

He definitely controlled his "world" very well. Does it surprise me that he had a few quirks? NO! The guy went to bed every night knowing that he was totally screwing these people out of their money and he had a great nights sleep for YEARS! Once a month he had to generate ficticious reports, so is it shocking that he sometimes like to lay on the floor? Not really. If you told me he liked to bark at the moon on the nights that he generated his fantisful hedgefund reports, I would probably buy that as well. He stole billions from people and at the end...kinda just said...Sorry, My Bad!

People are looking for signs that he was odd. That we should have known that he was doing this. The simple thing goes way way back to what caught Capone...follow the money. There were guys that complained about Madoff because they followed the money and basically saw money coming out of thin air.

Find the money that is left, figure out how on earth he passed a audit by the SEC and it will make a lot of people less sad. As for her, I suspect that she made her statements because the Fed has been looking at everyone that worked at Club Made-Off. They just cant believe that he didnt have any help in this at all. I tend to agree.
