Hey everyone,
I've been away from the forum for a while but drop by every so often to see what the latest topics are. I tend to have some topic or question that I digest for a while before moving onto another. This particular topic, I've been digesting for a LONG time.
"Are some just not ABLE to PROGRESS?"
This question is based on the limited time we have to be able to prove to our Heavenly Father and ourselves that we are worthy on this Earth and in the Spirit World to receive eternal progression. Why only 80 or so year? Less years for some?
And to take this question further to where I really want it to lead, "What if someone would have 'made it' had they been given an extra 1000 years to
I will make a metaphor. Suppose you have two 3rd graders. One is of normal intelligence and the other is smart enough, just learns slower. At the end of the year, the normal student can pass onto the next grade while the other, who learns slower than normal, needs to repeat the grade. In the end they both graduate and earn the same diploma. However, we are only given one chance and a certain amount of time. So as it relates to the gospel and the Celestial Kingdom (Eternal Progression) why not give some extra time if they will eventually make it... Even if the student is a slow learner.
I have an opinion on this but I want to hear others.
Thanks!
Are you taking into account that we don't only progress in the mortal life but in the spirit world too?
Progress has nothing to do with years. You can have a few years and progress a lot and then have long years and stay in the same position you know what am I saying? You make the best out of the time you're giving on this earth and don't waste the days of your probation.
