Picking The Perfect Christmas Turkey
Food Consumption News
There's a good chance many of us will choose to roast a turkey for Christmas dinner, but when you get to the store, you can buy one that's organic, natural, or raised cage free. All those labels can make what should be a simple purchase a little confusing.

I tend to look for a large bird. I believe that finding a bird over #20 lbs is hard enough. Trying to find one that was raised just so to fit in your beliefs would make that harder. I usually go for the more popular brand names that usually have what I want without looking hard and long.
I make it simple I look for gain fed as they taste better then it must be around $1 to $1.5 per lb. Free ranged is nice but not worth the monies and of course if it is wild turkey it wins hands down. I also tend to buy small turkey and just use two if need be.
