I believe that having Tom in as the ag secretary is a good thing. He is more into alternate means of energy and thus will help farmers across the nation become more energy independent from the oil and coal that is currently being used. I believe that American farmers can make it so that they do not use any energy that they do not produce themselves. Just think about the savings that are realized by farmers producing their own electricity and fuel for their vehicles.
Joe Biden to nominate Tom Vilsack as Secretary of Agriculture, a role he previously held for 8 years. Vilsack, who held the job during the Obama administration and is the former governor of Iowa, was selected in part because of the heightened hunger crisis facing the nation and the need to ensure someone was ready to run the department on day one, according to one of the people familiar with Biden's decision.
