I hear you on the deflection, but that typically is done when you are already in the spotlight and it is getting in intense. We hadnt heard much from Chaney for a while (quite vocal after Obama took office for the first few months)...until this recent burst of commentary, so I have trouble understanding why he would have to play wag the dog.

CNN is reporting that Dick Cheney has been hospitalized after suffering chest pains. This man seems to have a lots of health issues. Hopefully, he will recover.

Mild Heart Attack
Tests on former vice president Dick Cheney showed 'evidence of a mild heart attack,' Cheney assistant Peter Long said in a statement.
