GEORGETOWN, Guyana: Following on the heels of government’s announcement that there will be no salary increases for public servants this year, Guyana’s President Bharrat Jagdeo said the 5 percent salary increases and the tax free GY$4,000 given to public servants in May, was all for 2008.
