RPG Addiction, Do I Need Help?
How does someone know when they are too addicted to RPGs?
I am not addicted and if you say so again I will use my +2 long sword and roll my dice to see if I hit you.
I think if someone is taking things too seriously and does not seem to be living in the normal real world then there is a possible problem. If that happens getting some counseling may be in order so they can get back to living a normal life again.
If you're talking about tabletop RPGs, you can really only be as addicted as the rest of the people are prepared to play and GM - you can't do much with RPGs if there isn't a game going on, unless you work on stuff on your own time like making new characters or writing scenarios, and then I'd think that means you need to try to get some stuff published.
Addiction in any form is usually known when you are unable to communicate normally with other people. For instance if you're playing something that I just asked you if I could use the phone for a sec and you either ignore my question or shout at me then you might likely be addicted.
I'd say that is insanity and passed the stage of addiction. I hope you are not going through that yourself.
I get what you are saying, however such jokes can leave to life long psychological problems. Yes, I'm kidding.
