I have a burning question. I have always avoided jobs that require you to work on Sunday, and I feel I have been rewarded by it. While on my mission, I learned the General Authorities apparently travel and/or eat out on the Sabbath. I never could understand that.
What about taking an LDS tour of Israel that goes over onto Sunday? Can you board the passenger bus to Qumran, and keep the commandments? What do I do?
I have never heard of them eating out on sunday, I would second guess that (mostly because usually they eat dinner with stake president or other members)
I don't see traveling on Sunday breaking the sabbath day. Its a matter of where you are going (and what you are doing) that would be breaking the sabbath day.
Are you going to Disneyland? Or to Church
Are you going to McDonalds or to a friends house to eat dinner?
Is traveling to a different stake to set a part a new Stake President bad? I don't think so. But going to a movie on sunday, not the best.
