Morality in the military - your own or theirs?

In the military you are assigned to intelligence, specifically to use torture as a means to gather possible crucial information. You are told to be proactive in coming up with ways to make the prisoner talk. The question here is this, what will be the morality of what you do... what your officer says, what you know to be right, or something else?
