I am not sure that it was only because he scared his cat. I think this guy was just looking for an excuse to attack this other guy. I think inmates just sitting in prison have it too easy. Get them to work and get them out of those nice comfortable prisons. Give them one color to wear and let them sleep in tents. Make them work on chang gangs cleaning up the earth.

Stabber inmate has history of escape

The murderer who stabbed another inmate in a row over a cat at a minimum-security prison wing has been denied parole at least eight times and had previously escaped from a work party. Ref. Source 3

The guys a nut case maybe the one who was stabbed can get compensation from the state for being put in the same cell as someone who probably needs to be in a mental institution.
