The headline does not tell the whole story. Yes, he killed her after an argument over chores but it was proven the child has been for years verbally and physically abused by his mother.

I think the child should have been charged as an adult. Just because he had to do some chores does not give the right to go and get a gun and empty it on her.

He said he was abused but said that his mother yelled ant him and slapped him. I do not think that a slap by your mother is very abusive. The yelling at him could be for a number of reasons but that does not necessary prove that he was abused. If yelling at a child and slapping them is abuse then there area very large number of abused children in the world mine included.

You're very right. There are many parents who hit their children bad and they do not think it's abuse because they consider abuse burning the child's hand or leaving bruises, it is not so.
