If you read the book "Marley & Me" a couple of years ago, you probably are excited to see this movie. Plus, Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston star in it, which makes it ever so much more watchable.
Marley & Me
The movie seemed a lot different than the book, in my opinion, but better in a lot of ways because there are things that can be conveyed in a look or a posture that can't really be put into words on a page. Very well done, and it is appropriate for all ages -- no gratuitous cussing or blatant sex, no smoking or drugs.
But if you *did* read the book, you know how it ends, and it's a real heartbreaker.
I rate it one
I liked this movie. I was not sure I wanted to go see it after so many people told me the movie was not worth the film it was put on.
For me I thought the movie was a story about a dog. Even a dog that is hard to handle can be a great dog. This movie shows that.
I give this film 1 blue star
