Street Kings Reviewed
This is one of those good cop - bad cop movies. There are a lot of popular faces in this movie with Keanu Reeves of course being the most known and star in th show. The film seeks to discredit the methods of the LAPD use against the 'bad guys' and how they seek to actively reward themselves for handling crime. It seems like Hollywood has been using the LAPD to bring about a lot of movies showing cops as not really interested in protecting and serving others, but in fact protecting themselves and serving their pocket. Examples: Changling, Lakeview Terrace and now of course Street Kings.
In the beginning of the movie we see Keanu Reeves in his bathroom. He becomes sick, lifts up the toilet seat lid and vomits into his toilet, he then proceeds to brush his teeth. I did not know cops were nasty too. Keanu does a good job in this film. He is given the role of being smart for his own vigilante missions, but very naive to the bigger picture of what is going on around him. There is a lot of language in the movie, sometimes so unnecessary.
