I am not sure why an LDS source is needed. It is simple Greek. I guess I say this because I read basic Greek. The translation means "do not hold onto me" as an embrace not as a touch. It implies an embrace. Also check this with other translations like the new revised standard version. This is a case of the KJV being in adequate. (The KJV is a very literal translation and often misses a lot of social cues and poetry of the scriptures.This is typical with the KJV) I guess you can also see Holzapfel's book A lively Hope pg. 177 if you want a good source. He is a BYU professor of scripture.
