Economic Stimulus Package?
The UNC is calling on the government to meet with them before the end of the month to Discuss an Economic Stimulus Package before the country goes into a recession from which it cannot recover. Now here are some things on my mind:
1. Prime Minister Patrick Manning said we are immune? Not so?
2. Maybe if the PM tightens he is belt and everyone is FORCED to tighten their belt then we won't have much room for food and things will be better?
3. Why is the UNC pushing this? They care so much about a recession? Why?
4. Why is there no mention of the high food prices that has NOT gone down?
What's interesting is that we seem to be duplicating the USA's moves despite our government's insistence that we follow the British system. Even the new constitution that is being setup sounds more like how the USA's government is organised.
They need to stimulate their pockets. If things are hard, which they are, then they need to entice the public to spend more so they can continue raising prices. Supermarket owners won't ver have a problem since people have to eat. I do see people starting to plant their own backyard gardens but you can only do so much.
Pensioners aren't getting the full amount due and we're probably going to see a rise in work related problems with people being asked to leave because its not cost effective anymore to have so many workers with things getting worst.
