When I run "sfc /scannow" from the command prompt I get a popup asking me to put in my Windows XP, so I load the CD but then it keeps asking me for the CD even though I put it in already, what do I do?

I'm guessing with no provided details that you're trying to do some repairs? Keep hitting the retry button, I had that problem once and I just had to keep clicking until it went away. What happens when you try the normal repair option from the XP welcome screen?
