Welcome LDS Member
Thanks for posting your introduction message, this INTERNATIONAL Forum allows you to interact positively with many people on varying topics such as LDS Church news, Doctrine, the Book of Mormon, etc. However, do keep in mind that LDS Related Discussion is kept only in the LDS Related Boards as this is an International Community.
Be sure to read: The Art of Discussion as some tend to become offended or argumentative, this may not be you, but just in case.
The next thing you should do now is update your profile. You can do this by clicking the link called, 'My Controls' in the top menu. You may wish to venture over to the LDS Deep Doctrine board or the News & RM Section and have a look around.
If you like LDS Based Games then you may also be interested in playing: Nephi RPG where you can 'Journey to the Promised Land' or Book of Mormon Battles and see if you really know a lot about the Book of Mormon.
Here are some quick links for you to look over when you have time:

I am a retired elementary school teacher. My favorite things to do are genealogy, digital scrapbooking and gardening. I joined the Church at age fourteen, but believed the doctrine as long as I can remember. My ancestors on my Mom's side were LDS from way back and she taught us the gospel even when we didn't have a way to Church. I have nine sisters and seven brothers. All my sisters are members and have converted their husbands, but only one of my brothers is a member and his wife will not allow him to have anything to do with the Church since she came from a very anti-Mormon background. I am presently teaching Relief Society third Sunday lesson and I do the Ward Bulletin and manage the Ward Web site. Other callings I have had are: Primary: teacher, secretary, music director, 1st Counselor, President. Relief Society: secretary, music director, President. I also directed music in Sacrament and served as Gospel Doctrine teacher for many years. My husband teaches the same lesson that I teach in Priesthood and joined the Church seven years after we married. He is a wonderful husband and we've been happy together for almost forty three years.
