My how times change! I graduated from Kearns High School - many years ago. So sad that two lives can be destroyed in just a few moments of anger, not to mention the lives of those around them.

I believe that the violence we are seeing in our young people is on the rise. I am not sure there is anything we as a society can do about it since we are currently in a violent time. Soo many people just turn and walk away instead of being good witnesses that they are promoting the use of violent acts.

Kearns High School still reeling from gang shooting, classroom scuffles

Many Kearns High School students remain afraid following a gang shooting near campus, and two scuffles Thursday morning in school added to their anxiety. Police defused the two minor confrontations before they escalated into anything serious. There were no weapons involved and no students were arrested, according to Granite School District officials.

I think that Kearns High is a brewing pot for trouble for now. It is going to take a lot of community reaction and outreach programs to defuse this I believe.
