Competative Fishing Recreation Is

When I go out fishing I am not looking to be in the news as catching the largest fish. I fish to eat. If I catch a large fish I may think about saying something but probably will not.

So does that mean fishing to catch a record is not a true competition on this sport? I like you fish for pleasure but I am on a border line in calling this a competition.
