Sturgeon is a very tasty morsel if you are lucky enough to land one. A bottom feeder of sorts very huge in size. Pending on species they range from 80 or 90 pound to thousands. Many feet in length the biggest I have seen is 120 dressed I do not know the live weight. It was just outside of Calendar Ontario. The light line catch is 120 on 8lb test I think it was using a spinner bait. The man was fishing rainbow trout when he locked horns.
In BC the Frazer river was the place to go but due to dams and disruptions in their habitat the might giants are slowly dieing out. The swam with the dinosaurs but man has become their undoing.
