NASSAU, Bahamas (AFP): A Bahamas senator has been charged in connection with a plot to extort money from Hollywood star John Travolta after the death of his son, police said. The female lawmaker, Pleasant Bridgewater, was charged Friday with two counts of abatement to extort and conspiracy to extort.

I find it sick that they would try to black mail the family of a recent tragedy. This shows just how low some people will go to make a buck or two. I hope she finds a quick path to prison.
