Symmetry of cosmos suggests early universe spun about an axis

University of Michigan scientists have argued a long-held assumption that the universe has mirror symmetry, like a basketball.

That's how I see the universe when picturing it in my mind. A big space in a sphere, swirling stars and matter, who knows what else. The mirror symmetry, though, I find it hard to follow. I assume all groups of things (Stars, planets, etc) are not exactly the same. This is an interesting thought.
