On one of our sister sites (An Open Christian Forum) I saw some news about a poll conducted and how we rate with the JWs in our dislike for Hollywood. See: Source 4

Hollywood and Mormons Offended

I am not surprised. We are typically the some of the most Conservative people by most standards (There are exceptions to every rule), while Hollywood is comprised of some of the most Liberal people.

People tend to dislike institutions that mock core values that they hold important, while celebrating values that tear down those values.

Of course I am speaking in generalities as there are some very Liberal individuals in the Church, and some very Conservative individuals in Hollywood.

My surprise in this was that we were rated more so than the Jehovah Witnesses, makes me wonder where they went to get these poll results, I know it definitely was not in my locality .

Conservative? are we speaking about the same church? Some of you have to come to some areas here in UT and wonder if you're in Cali or mormonland....
