Watching this reminded me of the TV series Prison Break, but the Escapist is the British version. There is a lot more to it than simply escaping as the viewer is brought to understand at the end. It shows the rigors of prison life and how badly men can want to escape its politics and dangers. The acting was good, not outstanding, but it was good enough to help you feel that you were 'in' the prison system.
