At the moment there are three active players and one semi active awaiting more in the World of the Medieval. The World of Medieval is a customized Medieval theme given in great detail: Source 4 You can also read the sticky Threads about the World of Medieval here: Source 4

The key element of our Community is not numbers but quality, hence we cater for the more mature minded. The active players are mostly on during the day, one of which is from Canada actually, but because it is an international Community people log on at different times.

Canada, eh? I know a little about them.

I completely agree with you about quality and thanks for the direction, I have just noted your dice system. That is very interesting, I have not yet come across another site that has incorporated the use of dice in such a fashion.

Recruiting Players For Medieval

Greetings,

I am still trying to familiarize myself with the format of the forum, which is as I have mentioned different from what I am used to. I just found Source 7. What is the relation between that site and this one? There is a lot of history (site wise) here and it is a little overwhelming.

Right now I am currently writing a few adventures, one for my current RPG forum and the other for some old school, Cthulhu (1920's). I have been finding, however, that the players of my other forum are rather inconsistent, in fact sometimes there is no activity for up to three days! So I have been considering jumping ship to find a group that is more dependable.

I have been reviewing a thread which seems to me to be a preface to your adventure, so it is probably not the best example of role playing. What I have been involved in, of late are player driven and GM controlled adventures. I am not sure that my style of role playing fits in here, not that I cannot comprehend the system, it is just that I am used to writing and posting very descriptive passages. As avid as I am, I still do not have the time to participate in a 'table-top-style' role playing adventure that is dependent on a constant exchange of dialog... I wish I did. I can accommodate wordy posts, but I can't bounce a lot of messages back forth over the course of an evening.

If I can fit into the role playing style of this forum, I will surely make a fighter. I am more of dual class kind of person, but if I have to choose between a spell caster and combat specialist I always choose the latter.

The good thing about here is that you can participate in many styles of RPGs, so whatever suits you then focus on that. You do sound like the Member Wars is more your thing, check that Board here: Source 5

Rather off topic, but...
We use off topic tags here to keep the topic on target. That site is a sub site of here with a more 'open' atmosphere. You can find more info here: Source 1

Yes it is a unique system. weekdays are very busy weekends are more hit miss due to family obligations.

Yes setting your own up here might be complicated. If detail is your thing then I do not see an issue there. Just loads of typing. You could have each player just respond to one post were you place the story. Similar to actual table top but each player would act independently.

Like JB said the other site is more open. Glad to have you set up shop in either.
