The good thing about some snakes getting bigger is they are tasty. They can get as big as they want as long as they still taste good.

A larger snake would be far less inconspicuous, and even now more people are traveling deeper into the unexplored regions of the amazon. Should snakes once more begin to grow larger, it would not be long before they were discovered and either killed for trophy or food, or captured.

The amazing thing is that what they are calling, 'Titanobao' went undiscovered for so long. It foretells a promising future for the unearthing of other creatures thought only be the stuff of science fiction.

I agree we have just scratched the surface of the different species hat used to walk here. I look forward to seeing more discoveries like this one.
