Comments: I am a student of American history and I am curious to read the LDS current position on the infamous Mountain Meadows Massacre, which happened in Utah in October 1857. Mormon leaders, in complicity with Paiute indians, murdered 118 innocent men, women and children who were passing through Utah on their way to California via wagon train. It's a shameful, bloody story -- one that all Mormons should know about. It says something about the Mormon past. I would like to hear the LDS spin on this terrible atrocity today.
This Topic is Discussed in our Mature LDS Section HERE (for Upgraded Members) or based on the book that talks about it: Massacre At Mountain Meadows (public).
