Happy Eid Mubarak

This a time when families get together and 'break' their fast. Do you celebrate? What do you normally do?

Mubarak Eid Tobago and Trinidad

Today is the last day of Ramadan, tomorrow god willing is the 1st day of 'Eid. Throughout Ramadan, we gathered to say extra prayers at night, and once a week had a iftar (the meal after the daily fast) together in the Masjid. It has been a wonderful month and I am sad to see it end so soon.

'Eid al-Fitr (festival of the fast breaking) lasts for three days. Tomorrow morning we will gather to say prayers and have breakfast together. Children open their gifts, and we spend this time getting together and enjoying each others company. It is somewhat similiar to how you might celebrate Christmas. And now I am off to get those last minute things one seems to always forget... More tape, gift wrap, etc....

Eid Mubarak everyone!
