Wives Husbands My

A reality flick about a psychologist male who wants to be involved with three women. His first wife he married by law and the other two he lives with 'spiritually' according to him. In this way it is lawful. They are not Mormon, although they are asked that a lot. There are a couple of thoughts I have about this particular family. Being that the guy is a psychologist does that put any advantage to him in manipulating the women in his life to accept this arrangement? OK, maybe manipulating is too strong a word, but he may know which buttons to press. I think it was calculating on his part to marry a country girl who was already able to accept a husband who might have an affair long before they were married. It was good of him to bring it to the table before he married his first wife, but I think if it were not for his first wife being so accepting of this arrangement that it would not work at all.

Exactly my thoughts. I was shocked when the first wife said she knew he won't be faithful and that she thoughts he could handle it if he had an affair! When I heard these women (#1 to #3) they sound so needy!

Wait! I wrote that post while watching the show, now it just finished and I must say the ending is both a laugh and shocking for all that talk. Two of his wives left, the third one that wanted to come into the relationship got booted and in the end he remained alone and agreed to go monogamous. I guess 'spirituality' didn't work!

Even though it seems funny, almost comical I think about the children. How many changes, pain and unnecessary suffering because in this case, in my opinion the man just wanted to have affairs in a "legal" way by "marrying" them spiritually.

I wondered if #3 was a patient of his before this relationship? Seems just right to have her brought in to solve their financial difficulties and solve her own of meeting the man she always wanted to have. It also seems, given the length of time the other women lived with him that #3 started to really break things up and change their outlook on the man of the house.

Comments: I watched the show last night. I gave up on it when they were in the restaurant and someone said that since wife 3 had arrived there was a lot more fighting in the family.

What a loser ! He has two wives and then pushes the 3rd women on the first two. It was disruptive to the whole family. Wife 3 (Denise) should have withdrawn when she saw what was happening to the family.

The women in his life were very weak and kept desperate. It took a long time for them to realize that he was just using them for his own satisfaction. Denise was crazy to being getting envolved in this situation. She must have been the most needy of all. I'd like to see a follow up to this to see where each person has gone since this.
