I don't get the sensation in Obama that people would camp overnight in the freezing cold with their children just to get tickets to see him speak at a local town hall. This is happening at Fort Meyers, Florida. Will you be willing to do that just to hear Obama speak in person?

Uh, no. There's plenty of Obama on TV and in other media, I don't need to spend the night out in extreme weather with my kids to see him in person. He's just a man, people. He puts his pants on one leg at a time, just like most other men.

He is still a 'celebrity' because all the speeches and flare is still in everyone's mind (at least those who voted for him), but now is the time when the talk dies (they say it takes about 100 days) and then people will begin to think more in realistic terms. With hard times ahead let's see if they will continue to sleep outside to hear Obama speak.

These first 100 days of him as president is going to go very quickly if he does not get the economy turned around fast like he promised people. I have the feeling that the pack is going to turn on their leader and he is going to have a interesting ride from there on.

To answer the original question. No I will not and I would not take my kids to sit outside in the cold weather just to see him.

I believe Obama can do the things he set out to do but it may take time to actually get them done so please don't judge how he will do before he can do them.

I think Obamania is waning a bit. The media had an enormous "crush" on the guy up until just after inauguration. Wearing a bit of egg from his appointments forgetting how to properly do taxes has resulted in a appology on TV (but actually never says he did anything wrong in his selections). His approval numbers have dipped a bit...

The HUGE spend-ulus package is a gamble and there are now some critics of hope or at least some people who want their "no" vote counted for later use. I kind of liken this to Obama's no vote on Iraq. When this goes horribly wrong (if it does and I HOPE it doesnt but dont see how we are going to get out of this by printing cash), there will be a few that can say...SEE...I TOLD YOU SO! Those observations are being quietly logged...

A new way of government. Bipartisanhip. Transparency. These campaign quotes and promises are coming back to haunt him and people are beginning to remind him. Unfortunately for Obama, he promised to be something for everyone. It is impossible to make everyone happy and trying to...usually ends up in making no one happy.

More and more I am hearing comments by Obama that lead me to believe that he is already governing to try and get a second term. If I can see it, I am sure others feel it too.

His approval rating has steadily dropped since his inauguration, but as high as it was that is not shocking. The interesting thing is the 10% increase in his disapproval rating since inauguration.

Honestly, I can see how the Mania continues when weekly there are many thrown out of work.
