I just heard on CNN about the new Alabama law that may be passed soon that will require Pedophiles who abuse children under the age of 12 to be castrated? Are you for or against this?

I am for it. This way they can not get "turned on" to little girls or boys anymore and lives can be saved and children could be safer.

The true test of this is to actually carry it out and see what happens afterwards.

Not sure about this. I believe in death penalty for pedophiles. I don't think castrating them would stop them from interfering with them one way or another, I personally believe they're beyond help.

The abuse is not about sex it is about power and such things, so I do not think it would help. Death penalty would at least remove them from any more offenses.

It would be a terrible thing for this to happen to the wrong guy. The proof would have to be undeniable.

Well yes, of course. I believe in the death penalty ONLY in cases where there is irrefutable proof. Castrating a guy won't stop him from abusing children.

If scientist can find the Pedophile Gene/s, then I am all for this one. However, as of now, there is no genetic link...so it likely wont help.

Yes Vincenzo if we could find that gene and have it fixed that would be the best solution of all!

I do agree JB the conviction would have to have no room for doubt which on a bad side means more might walk with no charges laid due to that fact.
