Obama & Nostradamus

Nostradamus in many of his Prophecies mentioned three Anti-Christs:

1. Pau, Nay, Oloran and some people believe it was Napoleon.

PAU-NAY-OLORAN

NA-PO-LEON

2. Hister and is believes he was referring to Hitler.

3. Mabus. Some believe it is Obama. If you drop the "s" like in the last case of Hister then it sounds similar.

Interesting enough, Ray Mabus is senator of Mississippi and will be the counselor in middle east affairs for Obama.

And this is what Nostradamus say about the Third Anti-Christ:

Personally, I find Nostradamus way too complicated to understand BUT I am interested in your thoughts. I guess we will know whether this prophecy is true or not if Mr. Mabus dies as predicted by Nostradamus? Or is it Mr. Mabus the Anti-Christ who will be 60 years old and is the 60th Governor? (One more 6 to discover).

The fact is, with Nostradamus and many other oracles; if you look for something hard enough you will find it!
Even the bible has been analysed and over studied to the extreme that it can be interpreted in any way the reader wishes.

I find Nostradamus pretty interesting and his visions very flexible. You could easily take the 3rd anti-christ name and reverse it (flip the b to a d...like in a mirror) and you have...Sudam. Could that be Suddam Hussein? Good fun!

Nostradamus and Obama

My big problems with those who follow Nostradamus are these

1. He wrote in a sort of random prose. His modern day followers turn to his works and then say to themselves "this resembles this event" and "this resembles that...". Anything can be made to look like a prophecy AFTER the fact. For this to be legit the prophecy would have to be clearly made BEFORE the even, otherwise it is not prophecy. I could probably use even the text in this Community or certain Thread numbers to resemble something that just took place.

2. I do not think that Nostradamus sought to put himself in the same light as a prophet, for instance as one in the Bible or Buddha. His intentions I believe are similar to the modern day palm readers or psychics who use dazzling effects, nice words and a few theatrics to get you interested.

I will let time and history tell this tale. I am not a firm believer in signs and prophecy. IF these people are so good as to tell the future why can they not win the lotto?

I always remember the words of a song by the rock band Iron Maiden; The song is called "The Clairvoyant" and describes a prophet who can see other people's ills and gives advice and wisdom but is blind to his own demise. Clarice Starling in Silence of the Lambs asks Dr Lector to turn his sight on himself. Something he is reluctant to do, afraid of what he will see.

I think that Obama is blind to some things. I hope that he can take the time to look hard at what this country really needs.
