From your experience do you feel having a larger lot of land would help with this? I am thinking the ability for outdoor play in a fenced area with you watching from a porch. just to help displace loudness of children play. |
I take them to the park daily, of late Felipe comes back from the park and wants to associate the rest of the day with the park - in other words no work. A big piece of land under one house would help because he could take more regular breaks (children with ADHD) need to work for a bit and then run or jump or whatever and then return to work, etc.
As for persons watching our kids - we have decided that we will not let that happen. Besides the world being a dangerous deceptive place Felipe is spontaneous in his actions and may do something that the person watching him may not understand. It is too risky to get a call saying an accident happened, or this or that.
I will like to point out that inclusive of all of that I work from home, so some days my work suffers terribly.
Yes I can just imagine. A man once told me his ADD and was as big as any pro wrestler, he works our 3 times a day to accommodate his disorder. Med worked poorly at best and many real bad side effects. So that is why I ponder on the land.
Rather off topic, but... A friend of mine his father worked for a company in Trinidad and they actually co-signed for him to get land and they helped him place a small house on it. then by growing their own food and some chickens he was able to save enough to pay it all off. This was back in time would such a offer be even possible today? |
I suffer some symptoms of ADD. I can tell because smetimes when someone is speaking to me, and they do not get to the point of the converstaion, my mind wanders off into thinking what is there to do on my desk, and I start itemizing how to get the work done, sometimes I wonder what my mother cooked and stuff like that. Then I am hit with the question " and what is my opinion in the matter' and I say something off topic. Its very difficult to stay focused, and often I think that people ramble on too much, and do not get to the point quickly. What do you think?

Comments: For me it isn't a problem to concentrate it's more a problem to find time to do the things I want to do. I've been meaning to sew a dress for a wedding in a couple of months and each day I attempt to start and can't because my son with autism takes up all my time.
