A proposal that would grant benefits to domestic partners and adult live-in relatives of Salt Lake County employees incited colorful, and sometimes lengthy, position statements from council members before passing the board on a 6-3 vote Tuesday. The changes will be formally adopted at next week's council meeting. Ref. Source 6
