Freedom of press
Consider the following quote and place your thoughts:
"Freedom of press is limited to those who own one."
-- Henry Louis Mencken
"The liberty of the press is not confined to newspapers and periodicals. It necessarily embraces pamphlets and leaflets. These indeed have been historic weapons in the defense of liberty, as the pamphlets of Thomas Paine and others in our history abundantly attest." -- Justice Charles Evans Hughes (1862-1948) Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court Source: Lovell v. City of Griffin
I do not agree with that statement. Freedom of the press means that anyone who wants to make a article or poster can do so and hang it where it can be seen by many. They can make pamphlets to distribute or other wise send out a paper that can be seen by others safely. Freedom of the press is not just about the newspapers and magazines but of all people and their ability to freely write anything they wish.
