I am sure the USA are proud to top the group though, lets see tonight who they will play in the next round.

Well, I disagree about the performance of England. I thought it was poor, at least when I think about England in world cups I always think about great players. They will meet Germany! If they win and Argentina beats Mexico, then Argentina will meet them in quarter finals!

I thought todays games were pretty good. I watched the USA team get another goal taken from them when it was very clear the player was on side. But we got chance after chance before finally putting the ball in the goal and winning the game. I am glad we made it to the 16. Now we need to keep playing as a team and really show what we have.

I thought the German team looked flat and their defense was full of holes. The Ghana team took every advantage of these holes but the goal keeper of Germany did a excellent job of keeping the ball out. I guess one person on the German team can play well.

I am hoping that the Italian team is defeated tomorrow. They do not look like a team that should make it to the 16.

Slovakia - 3 and Italy - 2 - The first half was more or less dull but the second half was on fire with Vittek scoring again. The first goal by the Italians only came because the Slovaks started to waste time. They had many attempts on Italy's goal but they chose to just kick around the ball giving the Italians chance to score. There was a controversial block on goal that I think should have gone to Italy.
