Good for Slovakia! They gave everything on the field. The Italians by the other hand were weak and inconsistent.

One of the ironies of this World Cup. France and Italy met in the final of the last world cup with France winning. Now, both of them ended up last in their group and went home.

Comments: Main problem with both those teams is the use of old players to win a new world cup. Nobody fresh and new just the same old boys back to do the same thing but more venerable. Kind of the same thing with England but I hope they manage to do it.

Paraguay - 0 and New Zealand - 0. A very boring match with most of the goal attempts ended in offside. It does not matter though because Paraguay is through to the next round undefeated.

Denmark 1- Japan 3

It was a good game. The Japanese players put their hearts and soul in this game, however the Denmark players were not up to par and they played rather weak.

So far there is a good mix of Continents represented in the last 16, England have it a bit tough though. I hope the Asian sides do well, Japan were amazing tonight.

I am watching the game between Brazil and Portugal and they are playing very rough. Also, it seems like Brazil this year is playing basketball instead of FOOTball. Not only they made a goal with the hand back in one of the games (the ball was touched twice with the hand) but now ANOTHER player clearly used a handball and only got a yellow card when in another game the same penalty carried a RED card! When a Portuguese player complained, he was also shown a yellow card! Unacceptable!

I am not impressed at all, it shows that every time a team like Brazil plays, the referees feel they have to "forgive" them for these kind of behavior because it's Brazil.

Shame!

Brazil - 0 and Portugal - 0. I only had chance to see a bit of the first half and I have never seen so many yellow cards in the first half of a match before.

That's because as usual Brazil was getting frustrated and using their hands like if they were playing volleyball. This is to show that without their stars like "Kaka" the team isn't worth it much. They had many substitutes and they were not able to perform! In contrast, in the last game Argentina was able to beat Greece 2-0 with MOST of the players being substitutes!
