Argentina suffered specially at the defense, nevertheless was clearly better than Nigeria. I thought the referee's performance was poor. Lionel Messi was hit twice consecutively by two Nigerian players to the point that he fell, yet the referee failed to give a yellow card.

Argentina needs to be careful. They accumulated one yellow card in this game and if we keep it up, good players won't be able to play in the later games.

Messi played very well, he wasn't lucky to get the goal done but I am confident he will do so in the next game.

Argentina is playing again next Thursday (17th) against Korea who just beat Greece 2-0.

I think Argentina is going to be a tough team to beat and I have them going to the finals along with the USA but the USA winning it all. I am just a bit biased.

The USA gave England a good game. They were mighty in midfield but had no instinctive finisher up front. I've just watched Ghana beat a physically stronger Serbia side, it's good to watch African teams do well. The threat from Europe is Spain and Germany while the South Americans are very impressive. I would like to see a lesser side give us some surprizes and I hope England don't win it.

I hope for a final between Argentina and Germany like back in 1986, with Argentina of course winning!

Germany are a steady, direct team while Argentina have pace and flair. Also there is no Love lost between them. Should be a good hard match.

It's me or Argentina was playing really slow, almost like every move was thought. I haven't seen them playing for a while so not sure if they changed their style or they always played like that.
