I think that is pretty obvious. The Germans may have gone down to Spain but they will not let that happen against Uruguay. They want to come out with at least the third place position in the FIFA World Cup.

Germany - 3 and Uruguay - 2. It was a highly entertaining match with Forlan making some magic goals. Looks like the octopus is right again.

It was the best match so far, nicely balanced with good attacking and defending.
There was one nasty challenge but Forlan's goal was stunning and he was unlucky with the last kick of the game. The German fullback's headed goal was well taken.

FIFA World Cup Final at Half Time - the score thus far is Netherlands - 0 and Spain - 0. There have been many yellow cards and free kicks with Spain having a slight advantage on goal but nothing really to speak about. About the only thing that could have been controversial was Spain kicking the ball back to the goalkeeper and almost making an own goal.

I find that the official is being too quick with all the yellow cards. I think it is going to be a more interesting game in the second half. Especially if some of the players get a second yellow.

Second half was entertaining. Everyone was watching how they played knowing that it was be easy to get sent off now.

Now we are in Extra Time and the game is more alive with Spain constantly attacking the Dutch goal. I think Spain should have gotten a penalty kick in the start of Extra Time for those school yard take downs were doing against the Dutch.

Let's see what happens.

Update: Spain - 1 and Netherlands - 0. Spain are the new World Cup Champions for the first time. They also have a new record of being both the European and International Champions. Interestingly they usually in with one or two goals.
