Group D (Germany, Australia, Serbia and Ghana) is wide open, it now hinges on the last games on wednesday. None of these games have a definite result.
I hope Germany and Australia head the Group. Either one of these could play and hopefully beat England in the next round.
I loved the game! Lots of goal opportunities for both teams. I was supporting Denmark because you all know how I feel about the Cameroon team.
Some very interesting games for tomorrow Sunday 20th of June:
Slovakia - Paraguay (I will be supporting Paraguay)
Italy - New Zealand (I will be supporting New Zealand)
Brazil - Côte d'Ivoire(I will be supporting Côte d'Ivoire)
Slovakia - 0 and Paraguay - 2 final match results for first FIFA game today.
New Zealand - 1 and Italy - 1 at half time. New Zealand made an early goal based on luck because the striker was off side and was fed the ball by an Italian player. After that it seems New Zealand just kept playing in their half of the field defending without much possession of the ball. This enabled Italy to keep attacking the New Zealand goal and eventually winning a penalty that resulted in a goal.
Paraguay as usual played a pretty good game against Slovakia leaving this last team with almost no chances to make it to the second round.
Italy has to call themselves LUCKY because the penalty they give them was a freebie, definetely NOT a penalty! They were weak and unpredictable. Very poor performance. New Zealand tried it's best and got a well deserved tie.
At half time Brazil - 1 and Ivory Coast - 0. The goal from Brazil came after some maneuvering through a weak Ivory Coast defense. Ivory Coast had many shots on the Brazilian goal but none on target.
