French players were already NOT in the world cup mentally after all the problems they were having. What a shame!

First half and Argentina - 0 and Greece - 0. Greece has been under attack a lot and the Greek goal keeper is working overtime to prevent goals from Argentina. The Greeks have also had a nice couple of attempts on the Argentine goal but with all their men back it is hard to follow through.

Final Score: Argentina - 2 and Greece - 0. The Greeks played a mostly defensive game but it did not work for them. The Argentines targeted the Greek goal so many times but only Demichelis and Palermo were on target.

Messi was the engine in the Argentinian Machine, a good display but the Greeks did not really pose a threat.
I'm glad to hear that South Korea are through to the next round, it's the first time for them playing outside their native country.

South Korea - 2 and Nigeria - 2 - Both teams were equal in performance and goal chances but South Korea should have won.

I thought the Greek goalkeeper was awesome! So was the defense. I am glad Argentina was able to pass through that tough Greek wall and make two goals. We will meet Mexico on Sunday, that game will be a very hard one, not only because Mexico has a very good team but also because of the few encounters with Argentina, it was really tough to beat them.

I think if Argentina wins, there is a good chance that in the next round they will meet Germany now don't let me get started with that one!

I was glad to see the french team head home. I was equally glad to see that South Korea and Argentina are both advancing. I hope that tomorrow I get to see the USA team move forward into the 16 too.

Slovenia - 0 and England - 1. The goal from Dafor(?) was mostly based on poor goal keeping from the Slovenia goal keeper. England is now through to the second round.
