Five shot last night in Laventille
FIVE people, including a nine-year-old, were shot multiple times in Snake Valley, Laventille, last night. None of the victims were killed but police said three of them, including the child, were up to late last night at Port of Spain General Hospital in a critical condition. Ref. Source 8
Every country has there Lavantille, its just the law of opposites. If you have nice areas and neighbourhoods then you are also going to have the opposite elsewhere. Even if they reformed Lavantille another area will open up with the same or worst problems.
Why aren't there more military and police posts / camps in the Lavantille area? Bandits and gang members are shooting indiscriminately at people trying to live and do normal things. There should be soldiers hidden in areas to watch and observe what is taking place rather than just driving through the streets or waiting until something happens.
Lavantile is like the center of crime, why isn't there more concentration there. Driveby shootings shouldn't happen if army and police are all over Lavantille.
