Anyone have the best methods for getting the npcs to do your bidding?

They are a fickle bunch usually they will go to the person who pays them the best. They normally do their own bidding unless you shower them in gold.

Money is everything eh. So only gold will make them happy? What about just trying to get their friendship or maybe a favor?

If you get lucky and save a NPC from certain death then they may look at you a bit more friendly and may even help you out sometime free as a way to repay you for saving their lives.

Thats a good idea but how would you end up in that situation in order to save them if you cant even get them to come out on an adventure unless you have gold.

One thing not considered is your own character's Charisma, reputation or social standing. In the World of Medieval it is based on your soul. If you have a good reputation then you may get a lot of people to work for you.

Very true when your despised all is rough in negotiations. Let one save the village from some scourge then all are slapping you on the back buying ales and lining up to fight in you wings of honor and glory.
