What is known as an "Ancient Midden"?

Midden is just what we call a dump. In the days past they dumped refuse in middens thus an ancient midden is just a real old garbage site. They are often sought so as to learn more about the people who created them. Diet craftsmanship and tools ect can be deduced from this rubbish and tells a good deal about the people in that place at that time. I like to call it and educated guess as know will every really know for sure.

Yes Krakyn pretty much has it right. This is the dumping ground for everything that they think they longer would need or use. All waste was put there too. You can usually find fruit trees close to a midden because of some of the fruit that was thrown away in the midden.
