What are your thoughts about the whole Oscars 2009 show?

I am watching the Oscars right now and everything seem "smaller" than usual, I guess they want to keep up with the recession times. One thing I liked (so far, not sure if they will do it with every nomination) is that they have different actors (ones that previously won in that category) representing the ones that are nominated this year and each one of those actors share a little bit about each one of the other actors being nominated. I thought it was really nice so the ones that they lose, don't feel so bad.

I enjoyed it and I was glad to see there was a more international undertone to it, of course that was aided by Slumdog Millionaire. Sean Penn and Kate Winslet won the top acting awards.
