The Children of Huang Shi
This film goes by many names. I have used one of the most popular ones for the header but is known by:
"The Children of Huang Shi"
"Children of the Silk Road"
"The Children of the Silk Road"
The main thing I like about this movie is that it shows what a few people are willing to do to make a difference. It is filmed during the Japanese invasion of China during World War Two. The suffering by the hands of the Japanese was terrible. The Chinese really suffered. In the middle of this is a Chinese orphanage that has been 'rescued' by an English journalist that wants to make a difference. I thought it was an inspirational movie, more especially because it is based on actual events. At the end of the movie you are given live testimony from those whose lives were actually touched by this.
