Hello,
I am a member a ward in the United Kingdom. There have been some murmurings because the Priesthood has been split into a High Priets Group and an Elder's Quorum. Because we are a small Ward the split has meant that the Elders have been very small and they (my son actually) comes to me and says the quorum is so small that during the lesson time he is not getting as much spiritual guidance as he would like. I am wondering how far and how much authority the Bishop has to split the members into two such groups. I have always believed that the authority for such a split comes from the Stake President. Can anyone help me with this problem?
